As ordered by the Intellectual property judicial authentication center and China Intellectual Property News, Beijing ZBSD Patent &Trademark Agent Ltd. held a seminar on March 8, 2004 to discuss an invalidation case of the utility model case (Wu Chang Ji Le Garment Company Ltd. vs Patent Reexamination Board of the SIPO). At the seminar, the participants discussed the case very lively and some IP experts also expressed their ideas and opinions on this case.

This administrative case, Wu Chang Ji Le wins and the Reexamination Board lose. The case indicated that the requesting party of an invalidation could apply judicial relief procedure during the reexamination procedures of a utility model case in order to protect their lawful rights and interests.
